His broad experience covers underwriting, sales and executive management. He is responsible for key corporate functions including human resources and technology.
With 22 years in mortgage and finance, and as one of the founders of Bay Equity, John oversees Corporate Initiatives and Best Practices. He engages with Loan Officers throughout the company assisting them in using proven tools and new techniques to grow originations and improve the borrower experience.
Mr. Santander has 17 years of Mortgage Banking experience. The focus of his career has centered around the Capital Markets through trading and pricing roles with Freddie Mac and Tuttle & Co., as well as conduit, correspondent; and wholesale sales with ABN AMRO, HSBC, and Paul Financial.
Prior to joining Bay Equity, Ms. Melnick was a compliance and licensing consultant for the company. A licensed attorney for 17 years, Sue Melnick has expertise in litigation, mortgage compliance and consumer law. She is responsible for all aspects of compliance and for consumer issues.
Autumn has been in the mortgage industry for more than 15 years. His vast experience has been in mortgage company roles including President, CFO, Executive VP, Divisional VP, Regional Manager and Loan Officer. He specializes in developing and maintaining production and creating financial and cultural success for retail locations within the corporate framework.
Paul Chevez has nearly 20 years experience in the mortgage industry. After starting in 1993 as a retail loan officer, he migrated to the secondary marketing and finance sides of Mortgage Banking. He has held the roles of Controller, CFO, and Director of Secondary Marketing. At Bay Equity, his main responsibilities include assisting in the strategic development of the company and managing all financial functions.
Philip Mikolaj brings to Bay Equity an impressive track record in information technology and senior level management. His background includes creating state-of-the-art IT systems for fast growing mortgage companies and start-ups. Plus, he has been responsible for implementing mortgage banking software at more than 100 mortgage bankers nationwide.
Mr. Marler is responsible for Bay Equity’s Marketing, as well as for internal and external communications. He was a consultant to Bay Equity for several years before joining the company. His prior experience include overseeing marketing and communications for a nationwide lender and a career in broadcast journalism.
Lorraine is an accomplished Human Resource professional with proven expertise in organizational development, best practices, and strategic planning. Lorraine provides oversight in all Human Resource functions, including employee relations, benefits, payroll and compensation.
An industry veteran of more than 30 years, Sharon is responsible for all aspects of credit policy, credit risk and underwriting. Sharon works closely with Bay Equity branches to streamline the process of loan production.
Mr. Corbett is a respected and experienced entrepreneur and business leader. He founded the Sacramento Entrepreneurial Academy which prepares highly motivated students from University of California, Davis and Sacramento State to successfully create and manage new businesses. He was Chairman of the Dean's Advisory Council for the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. He served for a decade as Vice Chairman/Board Member of Sacramento Commercial Bank, a $200 million bank that was sold in 2000. He is currently Chairman and President of Spectrum Capital Corporation.
